This is from September 30, 2014.

Words of Encouragement. We all liked to plan ahead, have structure, meet goals etc. But Christ encourages to take one day at a time. Having been recently diagnosed with Cancer, God has taught me to take one day, even sometimes one hour at a time. I have no rigid homeschool schedule because I have unexpected medical appointments and days when I am so exhausted.

God's word also says not to exasperate our children. Do I have a homeschool plan for the year. Yes. Some days are more productive then others. My son has learned well to adapt to change and trust God in everything. He is learning everyday. He loves his new CTC math and is improving in his ELA. He is moving forward in Piano and gets lots of real life lessons on the farm and our walk with Jesus.

He pretty much makes sure we read the Bible together daily. I am more relaxed and so is he and this seems to allow more peaceful homeschooling and he learns better.

Just words of encouragement...do get wrapped in rigid schedules...instead focus on the actual learning that is taking place, give high fives & celebrate the small accomplishments too, go for God walks, cherish these times with your children and all of it with Jesus Christ.
