What are the thoughts you are filling your mind right now? What have you been dwelling on these past few days?

Have your thoughts wandered into doubt, anxiety, envy, strife, grief, anger, unforgiveness, pride, or stubbornness? Have you compared yourself to others and felt discouraged or unworthy?

Beloved, we must remember this truth: our flesh and the enemy whisper lies, but they are not the thoughts of our Lord. Do not believe them!

God’s Word tells us:

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”(Isaiah 26:3–4)

Perfect peace is found when our minds are anchored in Christ. Since God cannot lie, His Word is always truth. The more we align our thoughts with His Word, the more our hearts are filled with peace and strength.

So how do we keep our minds stayed on Christ Jesus?

1. Pray and meditate daily.Invite the Lord into your thoughts first thing in the morning and throughout the day.

2. Memorize Scripture.Hide His Word in your heart so that when lies come, truth overcomes.

3. Surround yourself with the Word.Write verses on note cards, sticky notes, canvases—keep them in your purse, on your walls, in your car. Let His truth be the first thing your eyes see.

4. Confront the lies. When thoughts come that don’t line up with God’s Word, boldly declare:

"This thought is not from my Lord Jesus Christ. It is a lie. I will not believe it. I will trust only in the truth of God’s Word."

5. Praise Him. Sing a hymn, whisper a chorus, or pray Scripture out loud. Praise breaks chains and realigns our minds with His presence.

Remember, the Lord has given us His armour for protection. Ephesians 6 reminds us of the helmet of salvation—to guard our minds—and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We are not defenceless; we are equipped in Christ.

A Prayer for You

Dear Heavenly Father,I pray for every sister reading this. May every lie of the enemy be silenced in Jesus’ name. Replace confusion with clarity, fear with faith, and despair with Your everlasting hope. Lord, reach down and rescue those who are weary, lost, or even considering ending their life. Let them know the power of Your love and the truth of Your Word. Reveal Yourself to them in such a way they cannot deny it is You. Carry them, protect them, and draw them into the saving arms of Your Son, Jesus Christ. May they be born again, filled with Your Spirit, and walk in the new life You freely give. In the powerful name of Jesus, our Messiah, Amen.
