Helping Families on their Homeschooling Path, Rooted in Faith
I lift up my eyes to the mountains-
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2
The Story Behind Lookup Pathway

My love for teaching started long before I ever stepped into a classroom. In grade five, I would gather my dolls and stuffies into a semi-circle and “teach” them math. Even then, I felt the joy of helping others understand and grow.
As a teenager, despite some difficult seasons, that same passion showed up in everyday moments—like offering tips and encouragement to fellow riders at horse shows. Teaching wasn’t just something I did; it was something God had gently placed in my heart.
In my mid-twenties, God led me down a path I hadn’t expected. I pursued a college diploma in Business Information Systems, where I discovered strengths in computers, accounting, and business administration. To my surprise, the college invited me to supervise the computer lab and tutor other students. After graduating, I was promoted to Assistant to the Faculty Director, and later returned to tutoring—where my love for teaching truly came alive.
Over the next 30 years, God opened many doors for me to teach and lead in different settings, including corporate training, leadership roles, and volunteer opportunities in churches, public schools, and private schools. Through each season, He continued to shape and deepen the calling He had placed in my heart.
When God blessed me with my husband and children, I had no idea that homeschooling would become part of our journey. I dove in wholeheartedly, embracing the freedom to create, explore different learning approaches, and try new ideas. Along the way, I made mistakes, learned from them, and truly grew to love the process.
At the same time, I remember wishing I had someone to help guide me through the overwhelming number of resources and curriculum options available. Over the years, I’ve used many programs, created my own supplemental materials, and even developed a Canadian Consumer Math course for my son.
Psalm 121 has always held a special place in my life. It was the very first scripture I memorized as a teenager, after someone gave me a Bible—and it has remained a steady reminder of God’s faithfulness and guidance ever since.
