Helping Families on their Homeschooling Path, Rooted in Faith
I lift up my eyes to the mountains-
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2
Canadian Math
Canadian Consumer Math
While homeschooling my son, I often felt frustrated by the consumer math content available in many curricula. Much of it was based on American systems, which don’t reflect the realities Canadian students will face.
Drawing on my college education, experience in course development, and over 30 years in accounting, business administration, and technology, I created a Canadian Consumer Math course tailored specifically for our context. What began as a solution for my own son has grown into a meaningful resource for other homeschooling families.
In conversations with fellow homeschooling moms, I found many were using American-based materials without realizing how different our systems are. Canadian banking, taxes, payroll, labour laws, investments, and the broader economy all function differently—and these are essential life skills our students need to understand.

I strongly believe that consumer math, grounded in the Canadian economy, equips students with practical knowledge for real life—whether it’s managing money, entering the workforce, or stepping into independence with confidence.
I am currently offering live tutoring in Canadian Economics and Canadian Consumer Math for high school students, with plans to make this course available for purchase through this website in the near future.
If you’d like to learn more, I invite you to fill out the form below to schedule a Zoom meeting. I would be happy to answer your questions and help you determine if this course is a good fit for your student.
